The Municipal Corporation has started a toll free helpline for registration of complaints that will be directed to officials concerned, in charge and employees for immediate redress.

The toll free number has been initiated on the direction of Mukhya Nagar Adhikari Vipra Trivedi, who has been concerned at the complaints regarding delay in redressing issues of people.

Vipra said she had found sanitary conditions and garbage disposal unsatisfactory. As a number of complaints were lying addressed at the Municipal Corporation office, she issued orders for starting a toll free helpline to improve the working of the civic body.

She said a special cell headed by Sanitary Inspector Bal Ram had been formed to look into the complaints. The complaints could be lodged on landline phone number 01334-227006 and mobile phone number 09456714092. People could also send messages on the mobile phone number or send their complaints and queries on whatsApp.

“I will be reviewing the working of the cell every month and, if required, the cell in charge will go to field to observe the working so as to know better how to address the complaints. We also need feedback from the complainants after their complaints have been addressed,” said Vipra.
