Mussoorie SDM Swati Bhadauria inaugurated an e-learning centre at Mussoorie Girls Inter-Collegehere today.
Dr Venu Sanon, director of the Kanya Kalyani Karyakram that is being run by Divine Light Trust, said the trust had installed an LED TV set in the multipurpose hall of the college and provided a computer software for students of Classes 1 to X.
She said the multipurpose hall had also been refurbished and it could now accommodate 60 students.
Dr Venu said all bulbs had been replaced with LEDs.
Dr Sunil Sanon, president of the trust, said with the installations of LED bulbs, electricity bill of the school would also reduce. He said the trust had also provided chairs and tables, six basins, taps and nail cutters to the college.
Dr Sunil said the trust had been involved in providing education and vocational training to the needy.
SDM Bhadauria, while addressing a gathering, exhorted girls to dream big as they had the capability to reach the zenith.
Social worker Pawan Gupta, who was the guest of honour, commended the efforts of the trust. Principal Anil Dabral also thanked the trust for its contribution towards the school.
Pradeep Anand, Jyoti Anand, Tarun Marwaha, Rajnish Bist, Rajinder Pande, C. Anekant and Shri Sunil Lekhwar were also present.
