Education Minister and PDF member Mantri Prasad Naithani files his nomination papers from the Devprayag constituency, at New Tehri on Saturday. He claimed to be a Congress candidate.

Progressive Democratic Front (PDF) leader Mantri Prasad Naithani filed his nomination papers from the Devprayag seat at New Tehri today. Murari Lal Khandwal also filed papers from the Pratap Nagar Assembly seat.
Naithani claimed that he filed papers as a Congress Candidate. Around 42 nomination forms were bought by the candidates from six Assembly seats in the district. One form was purchased from the Pratap Nagar, 18 from Narendar Nagar, eight from Tehri, five from Dhanaulti, seven from Devprayag and three from Ghansali by Independent and political parties candidates. The candidates were permitted only three vehicles during filing of the nomination and video recording of every candidate was directed by the returning officer.
