Dehradun, May 25

The Uttarakhand Minister for School Education Arvind Pandey on Friday posted a fitness video of his own encouraging youth to remain fit and healthy. In the video the minister is seen doing weightlifting at a gym.

Earlier, he had accepted the challenge thrown by Khanpur MLA Kunwar Pranav Champion, who in turn had also thrown a challenge to Chief Minister TS Rawat.

In his video posted on Instagram, Champion is seen doing push-ups.

Significantly, two days after Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore urged Indians to get fitter as part of “HumFitTohIndiaFit” campaign, cricket captain Virat Kohli took up the challenge and has posted a fitness video of his own. As part of the “HumFitTohIndiaFit” campaign, Rathore, Olympic medallist at Athens 2004, spoke of the importance of fitness as stressed by Prime Minister Modi and encouraged Indians to become fitter by getting down and doing 10 push-ups.

Rathore has invited Indians to post pictures and videos of their fitness attempts and regimes on Twitter using the hashtag #FitnessChallenge and #HumFitTohIndiaFit.
