Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Sunday said he was committed to ensure that the farmers in his state got right price for their produce and he has come to Swami Ramdev in Haridwar to seek his guidance for the same.
Chauhan was interacting with mediapersons on the sidelines of his visit to Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar. He said the land of Madhya Pradesh was very fertile and he aimed to ensure that farmers get right price for their produce.
“At times there is bumper production in agriculture and thus measures like value addition and food processing can benefit the farmers. I have come here to seek the guidance from Swami Ramdev in this regard”, Shivraj Singh Chauhan pointed out.
Describing Swami Ramdev as Yug Purush, Chauhan said there were times when yoga was limited to a few but it has been solely due to Swami Ramdev’s efforts that yoga has come to common man. He said it was due to the regular practice of yoga that he can work for 18 hours a day.
Referring to Mandsaur rape incident, Chauhan asserted that he would ensure the justice is done to the victim.
Earlier, welcoming Shivraj Singh Chauhan and his wife Sadhna Singh at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar, Swami Ramdev appreciated efforts undertaken by the MP CM in overall development of his state. “Being a farmer himself, Shivraj Singh Chauhan concern towards betterment farmers in his state is genuine and worth appreciating”, he observed.
The visiting Chief Minister along with his wife also visited various sections of Patajali Yogpeeth and got the firsthand knowledge of works being undertaken in these sections.
