Dehradun, June 30

Dehradun SSP Pushpak Jyoti today urged the owners of private clinics and hospitals to install CCTV cameras at their establishments to ensure security.

He said several cases of ruckus by patients’ kin were reported on a regular basis. He said the installation of CCTVs would help the police during interrogation. He also asked private clinics and hospitals to maintain a record of the relatives of patients.

The SSP sought the help of doctors and paramedical staff in checking the menace of drug addiction and alcoholism, especially among teenagers in the district. He said all SHOs had been instructed to take action against drug peddlers in their respective areas.
