Haridwar, March 24

Thousands of devotees from across the country and foreign countries have been arriving at Patanjali Yogpeeth to take part in the ‘sanyas week’ of yog guru Swami Ramdev.

From tomorrow till March 31, ‘sanyas week’ will be organised at Patanjali Yogpeeth, as on the pious occasion of Ram Navami, Ramdev had attained sainthood as Arya Samaji.

Future course of things to be carried out by Patanjali Yogpeeth and Bharat Swabhiman Trust will be discussed by Swami Ramdev and Patanjali Yogpeeth general secretary Acharya Balkrishan with these devotee participants.

Also, suggestions will be invited from the participants on making World Yoga Day successful.

Acharya Balkrishan said on the concluding session of this week, Ramdev would make an announcement related with global harmony and welfare.

“From health making to global peace, swamiji will be laying the foundation of a varied movement. This movement has been named vishwa nirman, the details of which will be divulged by Swami Ramdev during this week,” said Balkrishan.

Balkrishan said that propagating ancient arts of yoga and ayurveda will also be done during this week, with the support of thousands of participants who will be attending and following this function.

“Yoga and ayurveda are ancient heritage, which Ramdev has made popular worldwide. It’s our mission that each and every person in this world benefits from these ancient twin healthy arts. To make World Yoga Day popular is a major step in this regard as now United Nations has announced observing June 21 as World Yoga Day.”

For the past few days at Rudraprayg based Narayan Koti Patnjali Ashram, Swami Ramdev has been teaching yoga to people of the flash flood affected region.

Ramdev said it would be better to start sanyas week celebrations at the ashram. Many children who lost their parents and relatives are being provided free education and other aid by Patanjali Yogpeeth.
