DEHRADUN: The state government today dismissed two government officials Junior Engineer Ravi Kumar and Assistant Engineer Abdul Rashid after irregularities were detected in the functioning of Jagjeetpur sewerage treatment plant in Haridwar under National Clean Ganga Mission.

The state government today dismissed two government officials Junior Engineer Ravi Kumar and Assistant Engineer Abdul Rashid after irregularities were detected in the functioning of Jagjeetpur sewerage treatment plant in Haridwar under National Clean Ganga Mission.

Secretary in charge, Department of Water Resources, Arvind Hyanki issued the dismissal orders. Citing the on the spot inspection undertaken on December 21 and 22, the secretary held the officials responsible for the irregularities detected such as non-functioning of the 27 MLD sewerage treatment plant at Jagjitpur and presence of mosquitoes near the tank. — TNS
