Fascinated by the ancient art of yoga, a man from Kirabati, a sovereign state in the central Pacific Ocean, came all the way to India to learn the yoga.
“I had heard a lot about yoga and how it is still being taught at ashrams in India. I decided to visit Rishikesh to learn the art. Today, I was fortunate to participate in International Yoga Day celebrations on the FRI premises here,” said John.
A family from Mexico, which was dressed in traditional attire, was also a centre of attraction at the FRI.
The family had come from Vrindavan. It is the third generation of Krishna devotees with all children speaking fluent Hindi.
Students from the National Institute of Visually Handicapped also participated in the celebrations and pledged to practice asanas regularly. — TNS
