10% quota for sportspersons in Group D posts

The Haryana Government has issued instructions regarding reservation in jobs for eligible sportspersons (ESP) for Group D posts.

An official spokesman said that the 10 per cent reservation for ESP in Group D posts would be compartmentalised horizontal reservation between unreserved or general, Scheduled Castes (SC) and Backward Classes (BC) categories. 

The quantum of reservation would be 2 per cent for ESP (SC) and roster points would be 30 and 80. Similarly, the quantum of reservation would be two per cent for ESP (BC ‘A’) and roster points 32 and 74. In case of ESP (BC ‘B’), the quantum of reservation would be 1 per cent and roster points 63 and for ESP (Unreserved or General) reservation would be 5 per cent and roster points would be 13, 31, 51, 71 and 91.

The spokesman said that in case there remains a shortfall in any of the groups mentioned, the same could be filled in the same recruitment from the other groups and vice versa. 

He said that rest of the instructions issued vide General Administration Department letter dated April 6, 2018 would continue as such.—TNS
