The third round of four-country talks aimed at ending Afghanistan’s nearly 15-year war on Saturday concluded here with a call for direct talks between the Afghan government and the warring Taliban by the end of this month. A statement issued at the end of the meeting, attended by delegates from Pakistan, Afghanistan, China and the US, said a roadmap for peace had been agreed upon but provided no further details. PTI

Hafiz Saeed targets Sharif
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has come under attack from the Islamist parties and groups supporting militancy in Kashmir that accused him of being soft on India and advocating peace. The groups led by Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) chief and Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed held a conference outside National Press Club here to mark “Solidarity Day”with Kashmiris on Friday. PTI
