London: A Britain’s senior-most Indian-origin female officers has been placed of restricted duties as Scotland Yard investigates allegations that she broke the rules on being nominated for a royal honour. Parm Sandhu, currently serving as Temporary Chief Superintendent with the Metropolitan Police, has been served with a “gross misconduct” investigation notice and could potentially face a serious disciplinary charge. “The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards is investigating the conduct of three officers following an allegation that they breached guidelines related to the UK honours nomination process,” a Met Police statement said. Trudeau apologised after encounter in 2000: Woman
Calgary: An ex-reporter confirms that Canadian PM Justin Trudeau apologised to her after what she says was an inappropriate encounter nearly two decades ago. Rose Knight also confirms she is the reporter who was referred to in an editorial 18 years ago in the Creston Valley Advance that said she was groped by Trudeau while covering a music festival in British Columbia. She said in a statement Friday that she doesn’t plan to take the matter further. AP
