Oldest Sumatran orangutan dies aged 62

Perth: World's oldest Sumatran orangutan, which had 11 children and 54 descendants spread across the globe, has died aged 62, Australian zoo officials said. Puan--Indonesian for "lady"--died on Monday at Perth Zoo, where she had lived since being gifted by Malaysia in 1968. Born in 1956, she was the founding member of the world-renowned breeding program of the species and leaves an incredible legacy. Female orangutans rarely live beyond 50 in the wild. AFP

Twins ‘reunited’ 74 years after WWII death     

Colleville-Sur-Mer (France): For decades, he was known only as Unknown X-9352 at a World War II American cemetery in Belgium where he was interred. Now, the soldier would not only have his identity recovered, but would also be reunited with his twin brother at Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in France, where the two Navy men died together on June 19, 1944, when their ship shattered on an underwater mine.
