Trump denies adult star affair allegation

Washington: US President Donald Trump has denied accusations by a porn star that he had sexual encounters with her, the White House said on Thursday, a day after she sued him to invalidate a deal that prevented her from discussing the alleged relationship. Stephanie Clifford, who is known as Stormy Daniels in the adult film industry, filed a lawsuit in a California State court on Tuesday.

“The President has denied the allegations against him and again this case has already been won in arbitration,” the White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters at her daily news conference. PTI

Colombo: Fresh violence on Thursday erupted in Muslim neighbourhoods in Sri Lanka’s hilly district where communal clashes have destroyed shops and homes, on a day when President Maithripala Sirisena divested the law and order portfolio from Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. The communal violence between majority Sinhala Buddhists and minority Muslims has not subsided despite a state of emergency in riot-hit Kandy district. Petrol bombs were hurled at a mosque even as armoured vehicles and heavily-armed troops fortified the troubled district, where anti-Muslim violence has left two persons dead. PTI
