Moscow, January 27

Russia values privileged strategic partnership with India, President Vladimir Putin has said and expressed confidence that the two countries will develop a constructive political dialogue and mutually advantageous cooperation in all fields.

“We value privileged strategic partnership built between our states,” Putin said as he congratulated President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on India’s 66th Republic Day yesterday.

India’s achievements in the economic, social, scientific, technical and cultural spheres and the country’s active foreign policy facilitate the resolution of key regional and global issues, Putin said.

“I’m sure that we’ll develop a constructive political dialogue and mutually advantageous cooperation in all fields. This meets the basic interests of our friendly people and ensures international stability and security,” Itar Tass quoted Putin as saying. — PTI
