Wing part found on Reunion is from MH370: France

Paris: French prosecutors confirmed on Thursday that a wing part found on a remote Indian Ocean island was from ill-fated Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, a month after tests on the flaperon began."It is possible today to say with certainty that the flaperon discovered on Reunion island on July 29 came from flight MH370," Paris prosecutors said in a statement, confirming claims made by Malaysia's PM last month. Guatemala’s Prez quits over graft scandal

Guatemala City: Guatemalan President Otto Perez has resigned over corruption charges, and the country's Congress was due to hold an emergency session to hand power to the vice-president. Perez, a retired general, appeared in court on Thursday to face corruption charges after he quit on Wednesday  in a scandal which gutted his government and plunged Guatemala chaos days before a national election. Suspect confesses to murdering Bangladeshi blogger 

Dhaka: A Bangladeshi student accused of killing prominent secular blogger Ananta Bijoy Das has confessed to the crime, the police said as they arrested one more person in connection with the brutal murder. Mannan Rahi, a student of English department at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, gave a confessional statement before a Sylhet court. PTI
