Chandigarh: Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula, Vivek Atray interacted with students at Ryan International School. He talked about his book “Dubeji Bounces Back” and encouraged the children to read it in order to adopt a new mantra in life: every night is followed by a day.

Visit to Rock Garden

Students of KBDAV School, Sector 7, visited Rock Garden. They met its creator, Nek Chand, and gifted him “thank you” cards.

Workshop

Shishu Niketan Model School, Sector 22, organised a stress management workshop. Trainers taught students easy ways to get rid of pressure during exams.

Sports meet

Students participated in various events with enthusiasm during the sports meet at Mount Litera Zee School. The children also put up a show comprising yoga dance and pyramids.

Green Day

PMLSD Public School, Sector 19, celebrated Green Day. Students came dressed in green attires and enjoyed outdoor activities. They brought green vegetables in their tiffin box and learnt the value of healthy life.

NSS camp

Around 50 student volunteers took part in a seven-day NSS camp at KBDAV School, Sector 47. Guided by the principal, Amita Sharma, and a team of teachers, the Class XI students of the school lent services to society.

Annual day

Panchkula: The annual sports day of the junior wing was held with enthusiasm at Blue Bird High School, Sector 16. Students of Class I to Class V took part in various events. Panchkula MLA Gyan Chand Gupta was the chief guest. He applauded the children.

Cultural show

Students of Brother Rice House presented a cultural extravaganza at St John’s High School, Sector 26, here today.

The performances were based on the theme “Honour”. Through dances and songs, the children highlighted the importance of love, respect and humility.

The school choir gave a tribute to the school motto: Pro Deo Et Patria, i.e. For God and Country.
