Rishina Kandhari: AIDS causes death, pain and misery. More than one third of reported cases of HIV/AIDS in India are among youth and 60 percent of these reside in rural areas. Basic knowledge of AIDS is still lacking among rural youth. Literacy and media exposure are factors that determine awareness. We can also inform people about primary preventive services. Removing the stigma and overcoming discrimination against people living with AIDS will help immensely. Let's take a pledge today to kill the killer disease!
