Youth rob poultry farm owner of Rs27.5 lakh

GURGAON: A poultry farm owner was robbed of Rs 27.

Gurgaon, December 22

A poultry farm owner was robbed of Rs 27.5 lakh by unidentified masked men in broad day light today.

The incident happened at 11.30 am on the Northern Peripheral Road (NPR) when the 53 year -old Kankrola village victim was on his way to the market to clear a bill for bird feed.

He was carrying Rs 3.5 lakh from his home and had withdrawn Rs 24 lakh from the Sarv Haryana Gramin Bank, Bhangrola, when the incident occurred. En route to his destination, four masked youth came in a car without a number plate and started hurled stones at his car. The stones not only hit the car but also injured him forcing him to stop. The accused then snatched his bag with money and fled.

The victim raised an alarm and called the police following which a team reached the spot.

A case under Sections 392 and 397 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered, but no one has been arrested. The police have started investigating the case.
