More than 75 golfers participated in the ALOHA Golf Society’s Third Golf Tournament being held here today.

The competition was divided into five categories, including Category A (15-17 years), Category B (13-14 years), Category C (11-12 years), Category D (9-10 years) and Category E (8 years or below). In the boys’ event of Category A, junior golfer Amrit Lal won the overall championship with a gross score of 74. Imran secured second position with a score of 78 while junior golfer Jaiveer Sandhu finished at the third spot with a score of 79. In Category B boys, Chinmay Mahajan (82), Inderpreet singh (84) and Yash Sahni (85) claimed the top three slots. While in Category C, Mandaar Prashar (80), Brashwarpal (88) and Bishmapal (90) claimed the top three positions. In Category D, Tushar Pannu claimed the winners’ trophy with a gross net score of 85 while Manjot (90) and Aditya Sood (91) secured the second and third position, respectively. In Category E, played nine holes, master Jujhar finished first (38), Keshav Bagrodia finished second (43) and Ivaan Jolly bagged the third spot (49).

In the girls’ event of Category A and B, Lakhmehar with a score of 104, Divya Dutta with the score of 106 and Shivani Sudan with score of 107 finished at the top three spots while in Category C, Riya Jha (91), Aanya Bindra (93) and Himanshika (103) claimed the honours.

Hunar Mittal (91) won the first spot in Category D leaving Mehar Nijjer (99) and Pragya Sharma (104) at the runners-up and second runners-up position, respectively. In Category E girls, also played nine holes, Leisha Mehtani (49), Unaiza Babutta (57) and Ananya Kapoor proved their iron.

Brig Punia, general manager of the Panchkula Golf Club, and Dr Puneet Thakur, president of the ALOHA Golf Society, awarded the winners with the trophies.
