Even as Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari today said the infrastructure and banking industries suffer losses worth around Rs 400 crore per day due to delayed decision-making at various levels, reports said private players have shown interest for expansion of Delhi-Panipat expressway which would cost of around Rs 2,000 crore.
Reports said the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has received about 15-16 bids for the expansion project, signalling the return of private interest in the roads sector.
