Cipla arm to sell entire stake in China’s Jiangsu
Drug major Cipla on Wednesday announced sale of its entire 48.22% stake in China-based Jiangsu Cdymax Pharmaceuticals for $18.5 million (over Rs 114 crore) as it seeks to realign its global business. The stake was held by Cipla’s Mauritius arm Meditab Holdings, which has signed the deal to sale the shares in Jiangsu Cdymax Pharmaceuticals to an affiliate of one of the other shareholders of the Chinese firm.— PTI

ONGC wins offshore oil & gas exploration block in NZ
ONGC has won an offshore oil and gas exploration block in New Zealand, the first by an Indian firm in that country. ONGC Videsh Ltd, the overseas arm of ONGC, won exploration Block 14TAR-R1 in New Zealand's Taranaki basin, in the same region which has several commercially successful oil and gas fields. — PTI

Gold jumps by Rs 650, silver by Rs 1,600
Gold prices on Wednesday soared by Rs 650 to Rs 27,470 per 10 gram in the bullion market here on strong seasonal demand and firm trends in global markets. Silver also rose sharply by Rs 1,600 to Rs 38,400 per kg on increased offtake by industrial units and coin makers. — PTI
