Gurjant pockets gold in rowing meet

Rower Gurjant Singh claimed a gold medal in the single sculls (M1X) event by completing the patch in 7.

Chandigarh, December 13

Rower Gurjant Singh claimed a gold medal in the single sculls (M1X) event by completing the patch in 7.09.62 minutes during the Chandigarh State Senior Rowing Championship for Men and Women at Sukhna Lake today.

Saurav bagged the silver medal by completing the patch in 7.13.20 minutes while Jaspa finished with bronze in 7.18.90 minutes. Virender Kumar claimed fourth position by completing the patch in 7.27.85 minutes.

Events including single sculls (1 x) for men and women, double sculls (2 x) for men and women, coxless pairs (2-) for men and women and coxless fours (4-) for men and women were organised in the championship.
