Dehradun, December 21

Patrician College of Education celebrated its 6th annual day with zest and zeal here yesterday.

The function began with lighting of the traditional lamp by chief guest Dr US Rawat, Vice-Chancellor of Sri Dev Suman University, with Principal Dr Daljeet Kaur and college director Brother Sebastian.

A graceful prayer marked the commencement of the programme followed by Garbha dance, a popular dance form of Gujarat. Later, students danced to the tunes of a Bengali song. Then came the college choir to mesmerise the audience with the song “A River of God”. It was followed by a thought-provoking satire “Matadeen ki Chand Yatra”.

The skit was followed by a Chinese dance which left the audience spellbound. A very innovative way of producing music with kitchen utensils named Kitchen orchestra was performed by students. Later, Nepali dance followed by song, ‘Smile’, was sung by students.
