Fog delays six flights, two trains

Chandigarh, December 19

As the city remained surrounded with a thick layer of fog early this morning, a total of six flights and two trains were delayed—leaving passengers inconvenienced.

The Chandigarh Met Department said the condition would prevail for another few days. While the flights were delayed by nearly 45 minutes, the trains remained late by 3 hours. Among the affected flights were Spicejet Chandigarh-Delhi, Indigo Chandigarh-Mumbai, Jet airways Chandigarh-Mumbai, Jet airways Chandigarh-Delhi, Indigo Chandigarh-Srinagar and Airasia Chandigarh-Delhi. The Howrah-Kalka Mail was running three hours late and the Lucknow-Chandigarh Express was late by three hours and 40 minutes.The maximum temperature was 16.3 degrees Celsius — TNS
