Sanskriti School celebrated its annual function here today. Mukhya Nagar Adhikari (MNA) Vipra Trivedi was the chief guest on the occasion.

She said children should be given moral values and made aware about our rich cultural heritage at an early age.

Citing 80,000 children rescued by this year’s Indian Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi’s Bachpan Bachao Foundation, she said a large number of children were not fortunate to go to school or get moral-cultural teachings.

“Instead of learning, such children work at factories, restaurants, fire cracker shops, road side dhabas or are being abused or sexually molested,” she said.

Former legislator Ambrish Kumar stressed on the overall development of children in academics, sports, co-curricular activities, etiquettes or moral teaching.

Director of Sanskriti School Sonu Sinduria and Laxmi Singh read out the annual report of the school.

The students presented fusion of folk, classical and western theme dances.

Founder of the school Divya Panjwani, Seema Dhyani and school teachers Rabia Arora, Bhavya Upadhyay, Monika Tandon, Nimisha Goyal, Neha Sharma, Neha Ahuja and Neha Jain coordinated the cultural events.

Environmental awareness items by Sanskar School

Sai Sanskar School at Vivek Vihar celebrated its annual function at Town Hall here on Sunday.

Children from kindergarten to primary classes presented various items and created awareness about environment.

Principal Sapna Arora urged the parents to take steps towards environment conservation as only then their children would get sensitive towards it.

Prizes were given away to the winners, students who excelled in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. Staff members Reema, Manisha, Deepa and Shruti coordinated the event.
