Man’s body found

An unidentified body was found at Sodha village under gram panchayat Jaidevi near here last evening.

According to the police, they received information from the president of the gram panchayat that a body was noticed in the area and a team of police officials visited the site and took it into their possession. It was further told that there were no injury marks on the body. As the deceased was not wearing any shirt, it was suspected after preliminary investigation that the victim (approximately 50 years of age) might have died due to extreme cold.

The postmortem of the body was conducted today at the local Civil Hospital. It has been kept at the mortuary so that it can be identified.
