The three-day Scouts and Guides camp concluded yesterday with mesmerising cultural performance by students from various schools in Mussoorie.
Around 86 students from five schools participated in the camp where they undertook training in rendering first aid, pioneering, map reading, map making, rescue and fire fighting, Backwoodsman, cooking etc.
Santosh Arya, Assistant Commissioner, Scouts and Guides, said the objective of the training was to develop leadership, physical efficiency, competencies and engage youth in constructive activities in their spare time in harmony with nature. He said the training was given to troupes to promote community living and service to society.
The students also presented folk dances and song items on the occasion.
