Convincing win for top seed Prinkle Singh

Top seed Prinkle Singh registered a convincing win over Rhythm Ashwal in the girls’ (U-16) final round match during the ongoing Shivalik Public School All India Tennis Association( AITA) Super Series tournament, being held at the CTA courts in Sector 10, here, today.

Top seed Prinkle Singh registered a convincing win over Rhythm Ashwal in the girls’ (U-16) final round match during the ongoing Shivalik Public School All India Tennis Association( AITA) Super Series tournament, being held at the CTA courts in Sector 10, here, today.

In the first final round match, Prinkle Singh overpowered Rhythm Ashwal 9-1 while her practice partner Komaljit Kaur also defeated her opponent Bindu Kulhriya 9-2. In some closely contested matches of the same category, Rahat Mangat defeated Neelanchal Gupta 6-4 while Nikita Kharangra registered an marginal win over Luvya Lamba 6-4.

In the boys’ (U-12) final round matches, CHART trainee Ajay Singh dominated the proceedings to overpower his rival Gurjosh Singh 9-0 while other CHART trainee Jagdeep Bajwa and Ramanjot Dhindsa, in boys’ (U-16) category also qualified for the main draws with convincing wins over Shrut Mohan Nargeta and Tushar Sharma 9-2 and 9-4, respectively. The main draw matches will start on Tuesday.
