The court of District and Sessions Court, Kapurthala, today framed charges against drug lord Jagdish Bhola in connection with the murder of Assistant Sub-Inspector Gurdev Singh. He was killed outside the Haveli resort in Phagwara on March 31 last year.
The court framed charges against him under Sections 120-B and 109 of the IPC. Bhola, who is under arrest in a synthetic drugs case by the Patiala police since November last year, was brought in the court today from the Nabha jail. After he was apprehended by the Patiala police, the Kapurthala police linked him with the ASI murder case and booked him for supplying arms to four accused in the matter. — TNS
