NEW DELHIPrime Minister Narendra Modi said here on Monday that the Winter Session of Parliament starting on Monday is expected to be fruitful as the last session went on very well. The session will continue up to December 23 and will have 22 sittings.
“The winter session of the Parliament is starting today; I believe good work for the nation will take place in a cool state of mind,” said Prime Minister Modi.
“The nation has given us the responsibility to run the government, but everyone who sits in the Parliament has been bestowed with the responsibility to run the nation,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the high-quality work done by the previous government and hoped the present winter session will also be on the same lines.
According to reports, the winter session of Parliament is expected to be a stormy affair as the government is planning to push some ambitious economic agendas including Insurance Bill and the Goods and Service Tax Bill. They may face a stiff resistance from the oppositions.
