The Dehradun police have registered a case against six persons on the charge of creating ruckus at Laxman Chowk here today. All six accused were booked after a brawl took place between two persons over the sale of liquor at a shop.
It is to be noted that agitated residents had protested on Kanwali road and set a bike on fire to register their protest on Thursday after Anil along with his accomplice had brutally assaulted Jaggi.
The city police have registered a case against Vicky, Jeddy, Collector, Aman, Surat and Kashi, all residents of Laxman Chowk.
All six accused were booked for disturbing peace and creating ruckus in the locality. Meanwhile, Harjeet, a resident of Kanwali road, has lodged a complaint against Anil for brutally assaulting his wife, Jaggi, on Thursday.
Ravindra Shah, in charge of Laxman Chowk, said the brawl took place after Jaggi opposed the sale of liquor at Anil’s shop.
He said the police would deal strictly with law, who try to disturb peace. He said a case had been registered against all accused.
