Manan takes KVM home

Manan Jain (41) and Bhuvnesh (33) steered Kundan Vidya Mandir (KVM), Civil Lines, to a hard-fought victory by seven runs against Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, to emerge champions in the Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex Cricket Tournament which concluded at Green Land Stadium, Manj Phagowal, GT Road near Hardy’s World, today.

KVM won the toss and elected to bat first. In the stipulated 10 overs, they scored 82 runs after losing two wickets. The star performers were Manan and Bhuvnesh. Manan contributed 41 runs off 27 balls while Bhuvnesh scored 33 off 28 deliveries.

For Sacred Heart School, both the wickets were consumed by Raghav Sareen who gave away 13 runs in his quota of two overs while Anmol Chugh and Anirudh Aggarwal conceded 15 runs each. Chasing the modest target, Sacred Heart School scored 75 runs after losing three wickets in the allotted 10 overs. Anmol top scored with 27 runs and was followed by Madhav who chipped in with 22 runs while Anirdh contributed eight runs.
