Saakshaat, a fashion brand offering a comprehensive range of ladies ethnic wear in lehngas, sarees and suits, has announced the opening of its first store in Ludhiana. Speaking on the occasion, Roop Sachdeva, managing director, Saakshaat, said, “At Saakshaat, our vision is to fulfill every girl’s dream of having the most beautiful dress, be it for a casual occasion or a dream wedding. We had a lot of demand from people asking for an exclusive store providing ladies ethnic wear and bridal dresses at affordable prices direct to consumers. Gionee has launched, what it claims is, the slimmest smartphone - ELIFE S5.1 - in Ludhiana. “Named after its design, the Gionee ELIFE S5.1 is our slimmest phone till date. The launch was announced at Hotel City Heart Sarovar Portico, Ludhiana,” said the spokesperson for the company. “The ELIFE S series is a new product category developed through Gionee’s deep understanding of customers’ desire for a slim and powerful smartphone to also act as a fashionable accessory. The ELIFE S series products will incorporate an emphasis on design without compromising the hardware and software of a smartphone to create a whole new user experience,” he said. Anil Sharma, managing director, UT Electronics Private Limited, said: “Gionee has witnessed a rapid increase in the popularity in Ludhiana and North India within a year of operations in India and experienced an unprecedented success with the ELIFE series”. He said: “Smartphones are treated both as electronics and pie of art by consumers worldwide and that’s why we adapted a new approach with a focus in design.”

Good news for Tata Docomo prepay users
Tata Docomo prepay users can now carry forward their unused data benefits before their existing data pack validity expires. Users can now carry forward their unused data balance, for 2G by recharging with a 2G data pack and for 3G by recharging with a 3G data pack before their existing data pack validity expires, said the spokesperson for the company. “If the customer has a 3G balance of 500MB data left and the validity is left for just one day and then the user recharges, which gets him another 300 MB data for another 28 days. So, now the users will be able to carry forward the unused 500 MB data along with 300 MB data bringing the total free usage quota to 800 MB,” he said.
