One booked for negligent driving

The police booked a person for negligent driving and hitting a vehicle at Dholewal overbridge here today.

Ludhiana, December 14

The police booked a person for negligent driving and hitting a vehicle at Dholewal overbridge here today. The accused disrupted the traffic by running his SUV on the wrong side of the overbridge. The accused has been identified as Bikar Singh, a resident of Kishanpura village, Moga.

The traffic police had stopped the traffic on one side of Dholewal bridge due to the ongoing maintenance work of the bridge.

Biker Singh, who owns Innova, ran his vehicle on the wrong side and hit a car. The car owner, Som Nath, a resident of Jodhewal, suffered minor injuries in the accident.

Richa Agnihotri, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic), reached the spot and suggested to register a case against the violator.

On the complaint of Som Nath, the Police station Division No 6 registered a case against the accused under Sections 279 and 337 of the IPC.
