One person was killed and two others, including a woman, were injured when two cars in which they were travelling had a head-on collision at Sarnu village on Pathankot-Mandi national highway late last night, police said here today.
Police said two cars (PB 02 BR 7009 and PB 35 J 8500) collided, leaving three occupants of both the cars injured. They were rushed to CHC Shahpur. One of them, Prem Singh, a resident of Pathankot, was given preliminary medical treatment and was referred to DRPGMC Tanda. He succumbed to injuries on way to Tanda. The injured, identified as Renu, resident of Pathankot, and Hazara Singh of Amritsar, were injured and treated in CHC Shahpur.
A case had been registered under sections 304-A, 279 and 337 of IPC, police said.
