Chandigarh: Students from 11 tricity schools staged their annual production, “The Tinderbox”, written by Hans Christian Andersen, at the auditorium of St Kabir Public School, Sector 26. With a scintillating performance, the young cast of 38 children from Class I to Class VI captivated the jam-packed audience. The participating students were from St Kabir Public School, Strawberry Fields World School, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Vivek High School, St Johns High School, St Stephens School, Carmel Convent School, Gurukul Global School, Ryan International School, Delhi Public School and Manav Mangal School.

 

Teacher training

 

A three-day teacher training workshop was organised at St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School. The workshop organised in association with Lions Club International aimed at imparting skills in teachers that would them deal with the challenges of adolescence among students. Around 40 teachers of Class VI to Class IX attended the workshop.

 

Christmas fervour

 

Students and staff of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary school, Sector 26, celebrated Christmas with great fervour. The school echoed with Christmas carols, an integral part of the festivity.

 

Annual function

 

The sixth annual day function of Kulwant Rai Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir was organised on the school premises. Councillor Sat Parkash Aggarwal was the chief guest. School principal Kamaldeep Singh Sandhu presented the annual report. He said more than 400 students were studying in the school.

 

Colourful programme

 

Panchkula: Holy Child School organised its annual day function at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh. The function was a confluence of vibrant colours, jubilance, creativity and artistic talent of the students. Deputy Commissioner Vivek Atray was the chief guest.
