Indo-Pak talks begin today

ISLAMABAD, Oct 15 — Rarely have Foreign-Secretary level talks between India and Pakistan begun in such a glare of international publicity. Representatives of almost all prestigious newspapers stationed in Asia have started descending on Islamabad for the three-day talks beginning tomorrow.

Govt plans White Paper on ISI
NEW DELHI, Oct 15 — On the eve of resumption of the crucial Indo-Pak Foreign Secretary-level talks, the Union Home Minister, Mr L.K. Advani, today announced that a white paper on the activities of Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence will be prepared and presented before Parliament.

Rights panel seeks report on missing tourists
SHIMLA, Oct 15 — The authorities are trying to put a lid on the disappearance of at least 12 foreign tourists in the Kulu valley. A top police officer told TNS that report of deaths of foreign tourists in interior areas of Kulu had been received from time to time.
