Birth of a girl

WHY do people mourn,
When a girl is born,
After all she is a vital part of society.
She has also been created by the Almighty.
In today’s world,
A woman is no less than a man,
She can do everything that man can,
It is the girl who helps the mother,
In tasks like cooking, washing and others.
It is said without a woman,
Man is incomplete,
Therefore for Adam, God sent Eve.
So girls should not be considered a curse,
As they too are a vital part of the universe.

— Priya Dhamija

It’s election time, folks!

It’s election time, folks!
Rhetorical promises & fake manifestos
When friends become foes,
But nobody listens to the public’s woes.
Politics is the art of the impossible,
Which makes everything possible.
Masses are treated like kings,
Persuading them becomes the in thing.
Your right to vote has great value,
Because indirectly it affects you.
It is a freedom of thought,
Which cannot be bought.
It’s election time, folks!

— Saurabh Katial

Parents

Remember, parents are your world
No one can replace them
They are like a stem
That can never let you fall
They are best of all
Their love, their care is a precious gift
Those who are blessed with it, have no regrets
They are always with you even when you are blue
Their love acts as a protective shelter
Which helps when anything is the matter
Trust them and at any cost
Never lie, always be truthful to them
And with all their efforts
They’ll make you a gem
