Annan’s no to UN resolution on Kashmir
Islamabad, March 11
UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has ruled out implementation of the UN resolution on Kashmir or a separate UN Human Rights Commission for Kashmir, saying a lasting solution to the problem lay in the implementation of the Lahore declaration.

Buddha statues completely destroyed

Hurriyat to meet today
To discuss UN chief's statement

The Hurriyat Conference executive council will meet here tomorrow to discuss the statement by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan on the resolution of Kashmir issue and nominate a team which will seek a meeting with the UN chief during his visit to New Delhi.
