America, oh America!

What happened to you is wrong.

Although you are very strong,

You should not do more wrong.

If you want to fight a war

With the help of Pakistan,

You will be no better than Afghanistan.

It may be right to take revenge,

But innocent lives should not end.

You should think of a clever way.

Do not hurry, think night and day.

You should talk to Afghanistan first

Before you decide to burst.

Think it over, don’t just hurry

for you will also have to worry.

Friendship

Beneath the meadows of life

I asked my soul;

Which is the most precious gift of life.

I got an answer:

Friendship is the most precious gift of life.

Friends are forever and never die

They are with you in heaven and in sky

Their presence makes you feel happy, their absence makes you cry.

Without a friend you can neither live nor die,

and what I want to say with a little more stress that friendship is nothing but heavenly bliss.

— Prerna Dogra, Class VII, Apeejay School, Jalandhar

School teachers

With love and patience

God made a relation

A person full of knowledge

In every school and college

She guides us, she teaches us

But some times she punishes us

Her punishment is for our welfare

That makes us in life to dare

The teacher is a friend.

This relation is an age old trend.

and with all these features

God made our school teachers.
