Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little.

Departures: They were above normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 38.8C recorded at Barmer.

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Haryana and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.6C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 19: Weather will be mainly dry in the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 19: Hazy sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33C and 17C respectively.
