"NO, no you cannot go anywhere near him and attract his attention the sketch you have drawn of him", said one of the officials accompanying the Crown Prince Vijiralongkorn of Thailand, who was in Delhi as a state guest.

The Crown Prince, who is revered as "God" by his countrymen, is highly qualified in many fields, particularly defence services. He had good training in flying and could himself pilot various types of aircrafts. Shy and reserved by nature, Prince Vijiralongkorn visited many sight-seeing places in Delhi and I made an attempt to meet him during one of his busy engagements. So as expected, I almost drew a blank as I could not find any helping hand among the men who were conducting him around. I got a chance when I came close to him and immediately I pulled out the sketch and showed it to him. He was amused at first but soon obliged me by putting his autograph on it.
