Specific action in Kashmir soon: George

On Board IAF Plane, October 21
The government is finalising a “specific plan” to stamp out the Pakistan-sponsored proxy war in Jammu and Kashmir, Defence Minister George Fernandes said today.

Indicating tough measures against militants within a week after assuming charge as Defence Minister, Mr Fernandes said “various options have been discussed and we will zero-in on one of them very soon.”

“I have discussed with the senior Army commanders as to how to give a greater momentum to our fight against Pakistan-exported terrorism in the state,” Mr Fernandes said after visiting forward most areas of the Northern Sector. PTI
