Pact with Russia on atomic plant soon
Moscow, November 2
India and Russia will sign a framework agreement on the construction of an atomic power plant in India with Russian participation during Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee’s November 4-6 visit here, Russian news agency RIA Novosti said today. It quoted Russian Minister of Atomic Energy Alexander Rumyantsev as saying today that the pact would be only a framework agreement. UNI

Minister’s kin set free
Hyderabad, November 2
Mr Marthanada Rao, brother-in-law of Union Minister of State for Home Vidyasagar Rao, who was kidnapped by the Janashakti group of Naxalites from his native village Korem in Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh on October 26, was released by the Naxals in the Ghambiraraopet forest area in the same district tonight. In a pre-dawn operation, 10 armed Naxals, posing as securitymen, had kidnapped Mr .Rao. UNI
