Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at most places in Jammu and Kashmir, at many places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Bhuntar 3 and Sundernagar 1 and Jammu and Kashmir: Batote 6, Pahalgam 5, Quazigund 4, Banihal 3, Kathua 2 and Katra and Srinagar 1 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, fell in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan, rose in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were markedly above normal in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan and normal in Jammu and Kashmir.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 14.8°C recorded at Suratgarh AP (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of November 6: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Isolated thundersqualls are likely in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of November 6: Mainly clear sky. Fall in minimum temperature and will be around 17°C.
