India and Russia signed the far reaching Moscow Declaration on international terrorism declaring that the struggle against this scourge had become one of the priority tasks of the world community.

Moscow, November 6
India and the Russian Federation affirmed their commitment as strategic partners to actively cooperate in addressing issues of global and regional security, including threats posed by terrorism and extremism. The two countries agreed to cooperate at the multilateral level on strategic issues for the development of a multi-polar world based on a new cooperative security order.

India wants say on Afghanistan
New Delhi, November 6
Unhappy with the so-called “6+2” mechanism over Afghanistan, India wants the world community to have another formula in place which keeps New Delhi in close touch with all international policy decisions regarding the fate of Afghanistan.

4 die as Taliban ‘down’ copter
Islamabad, November 6
Four US military personnel were killed when their helicopter crashed inside Pakistan after it was fired upon by Taliban while on a mission in Afghanistan, Pakistan-based Afghan Islamic Press reported today. It said all four crew on board the chopper were killed in the crash last night.

Pakistan has frozen the bank accounts of Kashmiri militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad and another Islamic group, a State Bank of Pakistan official said today.

Two Pak troops killed in firing

Srinagar, November 6

Two Pakistani soldiers and an Indian soldier were killed and another was injured in an overnight exchange of fire in North Kashmir, defence sources said here today. The sources said the Pakistani army fired mortars, RPG rockets and heavy calibre small arms from the Karachi post in the Lipa valley sector on Indian positions.
