Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitations in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Bhang 3 and Solangnala 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Bahraich and Lucknow 1 each and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell markedly in Uttaranchal, fell appreciably in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh, fell in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in west Rajasthan, below normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 10.2°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of November 9: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
