Two more quit Mawlong ministry
Shillong, November 13
Close on the heels of the exit of three BJP legislators from the E.K. Mawlong Ministry, Finance Minister A.H. Scott Lyngdoh and Power Minister Martle Mukhim of the United Democratic Party, a major partner of the ruling coalition, also quit the government. Mr Scott Lyngdoh, who was the government spokesman, told newsmen that he had submitted his resignation to the Chief Minister this morning. Asked why he had decided to quit, Mr Lyngdoh said he could not continue in a government against which there were so many cases of corruption. PTI
