12 die in train accident
New Delhi, November 25
At least 12 persons were killed and 7 injured when an express train rammed into a van in which they were travelling at an unmanned level crossing near Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh today, a Northern Railway spokesman said. The accident occurred when 4555 Bareilly-Delhi Express approached the unmanned gate no. 4C between Kundarki and Machharyi stations in the Moradabad division in the evening, the spokesman said. Teams of officers and doctors have rushed immediately to the accident site which is about 10 km from Moradabad. The injured were being given medical aid by the doctors when reports last came in, he said, adding that a special train with accident relief medical equipment had also left for the site from Moradabad. Roof collapse
New Delhi, November 25
As many as 16 persons were injured when the roof of a house collapsed in Soora Kotha, Malka Ganj, in North Delhi early today. The injured were taken to Hindu Rao Hospital, where most of them were discharged after first aid and treatment. UNI
